Northside Christian Church

Northside will continue to seek ways to help the people of Haiti by collecting items for Church World Service Hygiene and Baby Kits on Feb 14th.  This collection is being led by our youth.  Please click on the youth tab to your  right to see what is in the kits and bring your kit items to church on the 14th.

Northside Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a growing sacred community that wants you to be touched by God’s Grace and in turn be the touch of God’s Grace in the world.

Just as you can come to God just as you are Northside is a gathering place where all people are welcome. 

Straight, gay, soldier, pacifist, rich, poor, reconciler, racist, republican, democrat, conservative, liberal, wedded, divorced, re-married, unmarried,

All are welcome here because all people are in need of God’s Grace.  

Touched by this Grace we seek to live graceful lives.

We believe that as more sincere seekers of God’s Spirit gather with us in

open, honest, non-judgemental and compassionate

study, fellowship, service and worship the better God’s Spirit will form us.

What Does It Matter?

Begins Feb 7th during Sunday School at 9:00

What Does It Matter?  A discussion class during Sunday School that will utilize documentary films to engage us in conversation about the role or the lack of role the confession of Jesus as Lord has in our lives.

Youth Half Lock In

The youth are having a half lock in at Saint Mary’s Health and Fitness on Saturday Feb 20th from 7-11 pm.  We will have access to the pool, climbing wall, and gym.

 

Valentine’s Day Tea

The Strang Singers will regal us with songs of  love for our Valentine’s Day Tea on Sunday Feb 14th from 3-5.  We will enjoy cakes and goodies, coffee and tea and other good things as we relax as a fellowship of Love.  We will collect donations for our tea time and all the money raised will be sent as a love offering to Haiti. 

Bring a Friend

The Christ Ed Committee is asking that you Bring A Friend to Church on Sunday Feb 2st for Sunday School, Worship and Wonder and Little Shepherds.  We have postcards available to use as an invitation.

Little Shepherds

After church on Sunday Feb 21 the Littlest Ministers among us will share a meal, make book marks for Sunny Brook Apartment Residents and play.  And do they play.  Nothing like kids running the halls of church like they own the place.  We will then help Presence serve Brinner on Wed Feb 24 at Sunny Brook Apartments. 

Presence and the Little Shepherds

Presence will be serving Brinner (Breakfast for Dinner) at Sunny Brook Apartments in Halls on Wed Feb 24th at 6 pm.
