 Vacation Bible School

July 15-17

Is there anything more important to God than children? We don’t think so.

We hope to see your children at VBS so we can share with them our love of God, God’s world and God’s word.  Your child will participate in a Worship and Wonder experience.  Worship and Wonder invites children into the power of the biblical stories through the awesome power of their imaginations.  They will hear the stories of God in ways they have never heard them before and learn to share these stories with others.  We hope to equip your children to be bearers of God’s Love by equipping them to tell God’s stories. Northside Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a growing sacred community that wants you to be touched by God’s Grace and in turn be the touch of God’s Grace in the world.

Check out the new link under Sermon Thoughts to the right.  You will see a scripture reference.  This is the scripture Frits is working on for Sunday’s sermon.   He will be placing thoughts on the page all week as he works towards  a faithful message.  He hopes you will respond to his thoughts and through an online dialogue open up the power of God’s Word for us all.

Presence

What is Presence?  Presence is an inclusive all welcoming gathering of Christ’s Body in public areas of Knoxville.  Touched by God we hope to be God’s touch in the world.   We come together to celebrate life under Grace.  We eat, fellowship, play, have real conversation around life and faith and share in simple sincere worship.  We invite the public to join us.

Church Is…

Church Is…is a discussion group that meets to critically think about what church is.  This discussion group will read books and think critically about what these readings tell us about Church. 

Refugee Re-settlement

Drocella continues to settle into her new life here.  We are helping Bridge Refugee Services to get her the services neccesary for her to start American life with a good  foundation.  

Youth Group

 

What a great mission trip. 

We are going to the lake for fun and faith on Wednesday.  Hope you can join in.

 

Choir Practice: Summer Hours

Choir practice is moving times for the summer.  Choir will begin practicing after church on Sunday for the month of June and July.

The church choir is going to take the month off and the young men’s choir is going to start practicing.  None of us can sing but Erin has promised she can teach us.  We start Sunday July 5th after church. 

Sunday School: Summer Hours 9:00 am

We have finished Ecclesiastes.  A lot to chew on.  

With the change of worship during June and July from 11 to 10 our sunday school will change to 9.  John Farr will guide the study. Come, share and grow. 

Vacation Bible School

We are excited.  We are sharing the Worship and Wonder experience with the community through our VBS.  The kids are going to be equipped to tell the story.  To share the gospel stories with others.  They will leave after three days with their God’s story to share. 

VBS will be Wed July 15th thru Fri July 17th from 5:45 to 7:30.  Supper is provided.
