Into every aspect of life.

We do this in simple ways.  We feed the hungry.  We visit the sick and lonely.  We pray with people.  We counsel the desperate.  We gather together.

We do as Jesus did.

Why?

Because the Love of God through Christ whose Spirit dwells in us compels us to.

Because this is what the Kingdom of God that Jesus proclaimed looks like.

Because it is a Joy.

Every year we pack up phones, roll of banners and whatever else needs to be done to get the FOX news channel back up and running.

Youth Work Retreat at MSP

Friday Sept 24-Sunday Sept 26

The youth are returning to the Morgan Scott Project for a weekend of work and fellowship.

Northside participates in a number of community outreach ministries seeking to alleviate suffering and change the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

Fountain City Ministry Center

The FCMC is a consortium of churches in Fountain City that seek to alleviate hunger by offering groceries to all who come. The FCMC is housed in Central Baptist Church. It is amazing what churches united in Christ can do together.

Family Promise

Family Promise seeks to move people from homeless to housed through intensive case management while temporarily housed in Knoxville area churches.  Churches with the proper facilities take week-long turns housing and feeding the families.  Northside is partnered with Fountain City Presbyterian Church.  We provide overnight care and a hot supper 4 nights a year.

Mobile Meals

Northside delivers Mobile Meals every 3rd Saturday in the Fountain City and Halls areas.  Mobile Meals is a weekday program but through a generous grant acquired by the FCMC these hearty meals are made available on weekends.  For information on delivering mobile meals, contact the Northside’s office.

February was our last time to deliver.  Weekend Mobile Meal delivery has been canceled due to other area churches finding it difficult to organize themselves on a monthly basis.  Strong relationships have been made between members and recipeints and the regular contact will be missed.  However, the CAC will continue to deliver meals for the weekends on the friday delivery schedule.

Week of Compassion

Week of Compassion is the everyday outreach ministry of the Disciples of Christ in the United States and throughout the world, providing everything from long term strategic planning to disaster relief.  Northside gives generously to the Week of Compassion to help share the love of Christ with the rest of the world.
